Wuhu Guangji Temple

Guangji Temple is a nice way to spend a few hoursin Wuhu.

Standing on the southwest foot of Zheshan Hill, Guangji Temple was built during the reign of the Emperor Qian Ning (894-897) of the Tang Dynasty.

(Handicap travelers can take a taxi to Guangji Temple, at the foot of Zheshan Hill, to avoid the long stairway up the front side.)

Of the four temples existed in Wuhu, three were destroyed in the Sino Japanese War and only the Guangji Temple remains. 

 

 

 

It is a famous Buddhist site in Anhui Province.

It is said that a priceless gold seal is stored somewhere inside the temple.
