Wuhu, literally "Weedy Lake" is a city in southeastern Anhui province of China.
Sitting on the southeast bank of the Yangtze River, Wuhu borders Xuancheng to the southeast, Chizhou and Tongling to the southwest, Hefei to the northwest, Ma'anshan to the northeast, and the province of Jiangsu to the east.
Wuhu is 90 km southwest of Nanjing. and is the second largest economy in Anhui province, after Hefei.
It has four districts: Jinghu, Yijiang, Jiujiang and Sanshan.
Wuhu covers an area of 3317 sq km, including 720 sq km urban area and its. population is 3,545,067 inhabitants.
